RV Repair: Norcold Frig 1200 LRIM, monaco dynasty, diagnostic mode

My Norcold 1200 LRIM installed in 2001 Monaco Dynasty will not turn off. Off the show room floor I had the same problem and the Controller Board was replaced. Now the same problem. Must I replace the $300+ board or perhaps a component on it? After replacement will it happen again?

Bob, I think you should take this to a Tech. The reason I am telling you this is because they can check for ac ripple getting to the board as well as putting it in diagnostic mode and seeing just what has been happening to the refer. Also they can do a board reset to the main board if need be. If in fact they say the board is bad it will have to be replaced. They don't swap out parts on them. You can ask the Technician if there is a Dinosaur board replacement for that one as I know they were trying to develop one a few years ago. I would go with a dinosaur board before a manufacture board if at all possible. Thanks, Bill
