RV Repair: Rubber roof leak, roof leak, bad shape

Question
We have a 1999 Damon Hornet 27H. After it sitting all winter we noticed a soft spot in the roof by the front right corner and along the gutter lines. It sat outside all winter and we checked inside several times, everything looked fine, but now we've found damage to the ceiling panel. It is rippled, so it must of leaked. Maybe when the snow melted. Our plan is to reseal all the way around, patch the soft spot on the roof. Would it help to cover the roof in liquid roof? This is our first camper, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, or if there is a better way to fix this problem. Thanks , Tammy

Answer
Tammy, If the roof is in good shape and doesn't have big holes in it I would just seal around everywhere that they put a vent or skylight and then the front and rear termination. If the roof is in bad shape then you can always do a complete coverage to it. Please understand it when I say that the prep is what will make it stick better and to always clean as best possible and then etch the roof. I use vinegar as it seems to work the best for me. Thanks, Bill
