RV Repair: bedroom slideout, top of the slide, slide outs

when i start the slideout to go out it travels about 6" to a foot than the top of the slide fall in about 6" than it want seal unless i slide it back in about a foot & push on the top as it slides out .i have never had to to do this before ,

Ron, It sounds to me like something is just out of adjustment. Make sure the mounting hardware for the slide is secure and tight to the floor. Then run the slide to where it catches and look at what is catching and where exactly it is. This will help in determining what needs done to correct it. This may be something you want to take in as adjusting slide outs can be harder than it looks, because they always seem to be backwards when trying to adjust.
