RV Repair: Tent trailer roof, patch job, tent trailer

Question
I have a 1999 coleman mesa tent trailer with a hard plastic roof.  Several small cracks appeared and quickly spread like a disease with the change in weather.  It is to the point where pieces are coming off and the cracks are out of control.  I need to know if there is a repair for this or if I need to replace the whole roof.  Thank you

Answer
Adam, I don't know of a repair other than replacing the plastic with either filon or peeling the plastic and putting rubber on the wood if it is in good enough shape. If it were me I would more than likely go with filon as it should last the longest. If you are just wanting to do a patch job you might be able to staple the pieces back down and going over the whole roof with Liquid rubber. You might want to look in that direction. It goes by the name of "Liquid Roof" and it is made by Pro Guard. If you want my opinion you can e mail me pictures at hunter42558@sbcglobal.net so I can see the extent of the damage and advise you accordingly. Thanks, Bill
