RV Repair: bubbles under fiberglass, fiberglass units, rubber roof

Question
I have an '07 trail lite camper. The seal around the rubber roof must have leaked over the winter. Now I have bobbles under the fiberglass on the curved surface just below the rubber roof. Is there any way to get the bubbles out?

Thanks, R.J.

Answer
R.J., This is a common problem with front faced fiberglass units. For some reason they delaminate and it doesn't have to be from moisture. The only way to repair them is to in most cases replace the front piece with a new one. You will have to order it as they come pre glued to the backing they use. It probably won't be any trouble other than the looks but be sure to check where it attaches to the roof to see that there is no leaks. If you want to seal the roof I recommend using Liquid Roof by Pro Guard. It is a 2 part product that has to be applied right but when it is it usually repairs the roof for good as it has a 5 year warranty stated on the can and I have personally used this product for 14 years or so and have not had even one complaint from anyone.
