RV Repair: Suburban Furnance Thermostat, suburban furnace, wall thermostat

Question
We just ( 2 weeks ago) purchased a 2005 Forest River trailer with a suburban furnace and the system was checked out by our local rv dealer. I had the wall thermostat on "off" and came into the trailer and the blower was running. The furnace must have cycled on at some time because the trailer was not cold and was comfortable. We ran out of propane this weekend and filled the tanks. Once we did, the blower would not come on. I checked the fuse, it was not blown, but once I put it back in the blower came on and then the furnace. My problem is that once again the blower is coming on when it is turned to "off". We have noticed that sometimes just touching the thermostat (but not moving the control lever)will also cause it to come on. Could it be just the thermostat that is faulty? This is something that I could replace but don't know enough about it to do much more. I would have to take it into a repair shop. Hate to pay just to find out it's the thermostat.

Thanks for your help.

Answer
Susie,
This can be easily found by taking the t-stat off the wall and disconnecting it.  The two wires on the back of the t-stat should make the furnace come on when connected together and off when not.  If this works then you need to replace your t-stat.  If not write back and we will go from there.
