RV Repair: Air Conditioner Selector Switch, pace arrow, rv repair

Question
QUESTION: My wife and I have an older RV(1988 Pace Arrow),and our main air conditioner selector switch will only work one of our two air conditioner. I was told by a service guy that one side of the switch is bad. Is it possible that you might know where I can get a new switch or a RV junkyard where we can go get another one? Really do appreciate your reply. Thank you.

ANSWER: Richard, When you say main selector switch what exactly are you talking about? Are you referring to the main Thermostat or are you possibly referring to a switch in or near a cabinet that has front air and rear air on the switch? If it is the switch you are referring to please let me know and I will try to find it for you and at least I will know what I am looking for exactly.

QUESTION: Thank you for your reply. I do appreciate it. Yes! I am referring to the switch near/in a cabinet that has front air and rear air on the switch.

Answer
You should be able to get that switch at a rv repair shop or they should be able to order it for you. The switch just works as a transfer point for the 110 power. They make one that is like a light switch in homes with 3 positions as well. There is also a place called Walt's R.V. located in Fontana Calif. that handles more fleetwood parts than anyone else I know of. They have parts there from the 60's and 70's even. Not very many but some. Their number is 909-823-0563 and they are very helpful there. If they don't have it they just might know where to get it. If you still have no luck let me know and I will do my best to find someone that has what you are looking for. Thanks again, Bill
