RV Repair: exterior floor/subfloor damage, rv shop, interior floor

Question
I own a 1989 coachmen catalina.  The exterior floor covering came off and the insulation went with it.  It was cover by a black plastic material.  What is this covering and how can I repair it?  Also this started in the front and now the entire back section is coming unstapled. Almost all of it is gone with the wind.  Now I have the bottom of my interior floor exposed (plywood showing).  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you

Answer
Enrique, The material you are describing is called "Vapor Barrier" and can be purchased at almost any rv shop. To put it back on you will want to see how they had it before and try to do it the same way they had originally. I would put insulation in first wherever you are able to. Most times they have a piece of moulding that keeps this attached. Hope that this helps and if you need anything further please feel free to ask, Bill
