RV Repair: No hot water, water making sputtering sound, hot water heater, 5th wheel

Good day,
We own a 42ft fifth wheel. Recently left town for a couple of days, shut off water to rv. Upon returning, turned water back on, water continues to sputter and spit, like there is air in the lines. Now we have no hot water. It did not freeze, we are in Texas. Do you think our hot water heater is shot? Could it be something else? It is a Luxury By Design 5th wheel. Any advise you could give me would be deeply appreciated:~)

That's a good one.
If you were connected to "city water" and disconnected its possible that the water bled backwards out of the hot water heater and you just needed to refill it. Can't think of anything else without more symptoms. If it was the water heater you find water outside.
Let me know if you have anymore symptoms.
