RV Repair: RV question, class c rv, firestone ride rite

Question
I have recently purchased a 1984 Ford Establishment Class C RV. I am in the middle of remodeling the inside. I am looking at moving the water tank from behind the driver's seat to the rear under the bed. Upgrading from 35 gallon tank to a 95 gallon tank. I know this will cause some handling problems and cant seem to get any info on what type of air bags to use to help offset the weight issue. How do i go about finding out what type to use to help with the ride and handle of this RV when i am done

Answer
Hi Jason, You will be adding a ton of weight (when it's full.) to the rear of this little class C. You want to look at the way the rear frame extension is welded. You almost always have to reinforce the framing when adding this much weight to the rear. You will also drastically lower the amount of weight you can tow with all that mass in the back.
Any air bag set up will work to help carry the load. Look at the Firestone Ride-Rite and Air Lift Super Duty set ups. You will us the heavy duty air bag set up for 5000lb added capacity. Good Luck
