RV Repair: RV AC, crossroads trailer, old crossroads

Question
Question -
The air conditioner on my 2yr old Crossroads Trailer keeps tripping and the air won't work continuously like it should.  Why does the breaker keep tripping?

Answer -
Hi Pat:

I need to know which breaker you are talking about that is tripping? Is it the breaker that supplies incoming power to the RV, or is it one of the RV breakers, for example, the a/c breaker? What happens when you reset the breaker, and how long will it stay on before it trips again. What appliances are turned on in the RV? Does the air conditioner try to start?

Please respond, and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Have had lots of responses for assistance with this heat wave.
Regars, Larry

This is a followup to my 1st question.

The breaker that supplies power to the RV tripped once.  Most often the AC breaker in the RV is the one that trips.  When I reset it the AC usually comes back on.  Sometimes I have to reset the breaker more than once.  When the microwave runs the breaker for the AC will sometimes trip.  Shouldn't there be enough power to run the appliances that came with the camper?

Answer
Pat,
If your trailer has a 30amp shore cord, you can only run your AC. When you plug in your trailer, with your fridge on, it(the fridge) automatically switches to 110v, the power convertor comes on and then you turn on your AC.  This pretty much takes up all that there is available if you are plugged into a 30 amp outlet.  If you are using the 15amp adapter, and plug into a regular outlet, you will not be able to run the AC.  You will be able to run the fan only on the AC but not in the cool mode.
