RV Repair: Rotten floor in slide out, slide room, fifth wheel

I have a 1993 Avion fifth wheel (35.5. While closing the slide out the foward wall pull loose from the floor. I looked under the wall and the wood has rotted on the edge of the floor where the floor attaches to the floor. Is there a way I can replace the rotten wood are patch it my self.

Of course if you are mechanically inclined, or very handy, you can do anything, HOWEVER, most slide room repairs of this nature, not all, but most, are done with the slide room removed from the trailer.  You really never know until you start taking things apart how bad the damage is and whether it can be done in the trailer.
