RV Repair: Rubber roof, rv dealers, rubber roof

Question
I have dry rot under the rubber roof and I want to know if I need to replace the whole roof or if I can spot repair?  I am proficient with wood repair but am very novice at rubber roof.
I would appreciate any help or advice you can give me.

Answer
It depends.
If you are going to want to resell the unit eventually, then I would take up the whole roof and replace it. It's not that hard to do. But if you are just going to keep it for your use until it "dies", you can spot repair. Some of the larger RV dealers may have scrap pieces they will give (ha) or sell to you.
The good thing about replacing the whole thing is that there may be some spots that you can't feel yet, and this way you will be confident that everything is fine.
