RV Repair: slideout motors, powergear, google

Question
I have a Wildwood 25T trailer with 2 slides. The big slidout has the dinett and couchin it. When I go to slide it back in the motors will not move it unless the ac power is pluged in or 12v is pluged into the pickup, then it barly move. I have 2 brand new batteries. The motors are Power Gear from Enginered Solutions. Part # 520008. I would like to replace with a lower gear ratio if any one makes one that will bolt right in. Or do you have any good sugestions? Thanks Ray.

Answer
I am not familiar with PowerGear. I have only worked with RBW, LTM, Barker, and Lippert. You might check with these places to see if they have one that would work. Or check with PowerGear. Most slideouts are designed to take only one brand of motor. To use another brand, you would probably need to drill some holes and maybe even chnge some connecting gears. They can be more complicated than they look.
You should be able to find info on these places by using Google and typing in slideout motors with the different companies I mentioned.
Also try checking with Wildwood customer service to see if they have any suggestions.
