RV Repair: Refrigerator Problem, rv refrigerator, tent trailer

Question
I have a Viking 1996 tent trailer with a 3 way refrigerator.  The refrigerator has been used less than a dozen times and when I recently tried to use it, it would not get cool on either AC or propane.  I have been told by a local RV serviceman that it sounds like the cooling unit and if it is the whole refrigerator comes out and needs to be replaced at a cost of $500 -700 plus 1 hr. labor at $70. Does this sound right to you for something that has hardly been used?
Appreciate your assistance.

Answer
It's not how often you use an RV refrigerator, it's how you use it that matters.  Unless the unit is level when running, they do not last long.  I can't say for sure that this happened to yours but it's an accurate statement in 99% of the cases I have run into.
As far as the cost of a new one and installation, that sounds about right.
