Saturn Repair: Ignition cylinder key tumbler replacement, saturn sc1, key cylinder

I have a 2001 Saturn SC1.  I removed the ignition key cylinder tumbler from the ignition cylinder housing by using a small allen wrench to release the catch.  The new tumbler with the new key will slide in but it will not catch.  What is the secret to making the new tumbler slide in and catch?

You might want to check and see if your cylinder is made correctly......s-series ignition cylinders if not made just right won't fit........if that don't work you just might need a new housing as well......those cylinders should pop right in
