Saturn Repair: 1999 Saturn SL2, windshield wipers, saturn sl2

Hi, My windshield wipers won't turn off unless the ignition is turned off, I am controlling them now with the fuse. Any suggestions? Also, when starting the engine, it turns over good but starts and then bogs down and stalls. I can usually catch it and give it some gas slowly and then it's ok. If I don't catch it in time, the only way it will start again is if I put the gas to the floor and then it starts at a high r.p.m., puts out a cloud of smelly smoke and then it's ok. It does this occasionally, not all the time. Any help would be appreciated on these 2 questions. Thanks, Cathy

It sounds to me that you have an electrical problem that may be more involved than a simple fuse or something similar. What I would recommend is that you take it to a repair shop and have them look over the electrical system. Sorry I could not be of more help.
