Saturn Repair: 1998 SL2, transmission cooler, transmission fluid

Question
I am thinking of buying thew car for my son to learn to drive.  The owner is very upfront and said they replaced the water pump, but the transmission still sometimes overheats.  Any thoughts???

Answer
I would recommend having the cooling system flushed as well as the transmission fluid flushed. If the radiator has build up of any kind, it will be on the internal transmission cooler lines as well. The transmission fluid should be changed especially if it's overheating. That is simple with those as it is a drain plug and a spin on filter.
