Saturn Repair: Saturn 1996 SL2 wont start/turn over when hot, saturn sl2, excess strain

Question
My 1996 Saturn SL2 starts fine when cold, but after it's been running for a while and I shut it off for a few minutes or less, it will not start or even turn over. It just clicks like it has a dead battery. If I let it sit for a while until it cools down, it will start again like there was never a problem. This happens consistently.
Any suggestions? Thanks-John.

Answer
John,
STARTER, STARTER, STARTER!  I have seen many Saturn starters lose their ability due to high heat.  There is probably just a bad spot in the winding of your starter, and the added heat of a warm engine puts excess strain on it.  I would replace the starter if I was you.  Hope this helps.
