Saturn Repair: 1992 Saturn seatbelt problem, possition, seatbelt

My daughter has a 92 SL2 4 door Saturn and at first the autmatic seatbelts would jerk and act funny but now they have stopped working completely and are stuck in the halfway possition. I'm wondering if you know what might be wrong and if it can be fixed with out going to a shop. She's in college and has no money. She has access to some guys who know a little about cars if she needs them to fix it for her.

Hi Kelly,
Unfortunately, I don't know what you can do about the half stuck seatbelt.  I beleive that the Seatbelt mechanism on the SL2 in controlled by a Relay, not a fuse.   It could be that the corresponding relay is malfunctioning. Again, that is just a guess as I haven't dealt with Saturn Seatbelt problems in the past.
Sorry I couldn't be more help.  A quick call to Saturn might reveal an answer as to whether the relay may be the culprit.
