Saturn Repair: replace drive belt, saturn sl, chiltons manual

Question
I need to replace the drive belt on a 92 Saturn SL 1.9 dohc, air and ps wht tools will I need since I will be doing this in his driveway at his school. Thank for any help you can be.  Mike

Answer
It's not as bad as you may think. It is, of course, all metric including 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17mm sizes.  I had to do most of the belt work with combination wrenches (open on one end box on the other) as there isn't much room between the side wall and the front (passenger) side of the engine for sockets.  There is a tensioner that comes loose and then the belts can be reached.
If you are going to be replacing the Timing Chain, that is another story...it can be done in the car BUT you have to remove the wheel well covers, and loosen a motor mount. For that, I recommend getting the Chiltons manual.  It covers the Saturn VERY WELL! Itis about $13 at most auto parts stores.

Sorry I can't be more specific.  In a nut shell...if can be done without too much trouble.
