Saturn Repair: Saturn LW200 year 2002, gas vent, vent valve

My LW200 is still under warranty and for the 3rd time I had to bring it to the dealer because of "Check engine soon" signal.  This time I had also a "SECURITY" flag that started to flash after driving for about 1/2 hr with the "Check engine soon". Not only the "Security" message was flashing but my whole dash lights were flashing and the gas gauge and the temp. gauge were going to zero. On top of that my odometer was going backward during the flashing!  My dealer told me it was a gas vent valve that is defective but they don't have it in stock. It will take a week before having it.  Since the "SECURITY" message did not appears while they check the car, they told me they can't say what that means!  Questions: can I drive this car? Can a gas vent valve be related to the "SECURITY" message?  Thank you in advance.

Hi well the gas vent shouldnt have anything to do with that  it sounds like u may have a pcm problem i havent run into it yet so im really not sure but the dealer should be able to sort it out but if not get back to me and i will ask a few people ,, if u can ask them the code #s for the check engine light.
