Saturn Repair: air bag light, saturn sl1, air bag

Question
The air bag light stays lit on my '97 Saturn  SL1.  What are possible causes and remedies.  I know how to use a DVM and am mechanically inclined but this is my first experience with an air bag other than my wife (mostly hot air).  Any help, skematics, drawings, trouble shooting charts and advice on how to check components would be a great help.

Hi dont put that dvom near the air bag the little 9v battery inside may deploy it..the only way to check the air bag is to retrive the codes with a scanner and check certain parts with the air bag uninstaled..the best i can say I hate to say this but take this one to a shop it may cost u a lot more if u try it and set it off if yuor not really hurt..Im sorry but i cant really help u through this..good luck and no dvom!
