Saturn Repair: high oil consumption, oil leaks, oil consumption

Hi,

I have a 99 sl2, w/70,000 miles.

It recently has started using a lot of oil....3qts every 3000 -4000 miles.

I've heard this is common for saturns?

Any suggestions or help is appreciated.

Hi yeah this is really common the best thing to do is seal all the oil leaks and get a good carbon cleaner run through it then pull the spark plugs out and put a little bit of tranny fluid in the holes and let it sit for about an hour because the oil rings stick then role it over a few tims to get most of the fluid out then re install the plugs run it untill the smoke clears then change the oil and replace it with either semi of full synthic oil and this should take care of most of the problem. let me know if u need more info.
