Saturn Repair: EGR Valve, best bet, carbons

Question
I recently took my 97 SL2 in for a 90,000 mile service and was told the EGR valve was "sticking."  The Service Engine light had been on for about a week.  There are currently no problems with the car idling rough for stalling.

Do I need to replace the EGR valve, or can it be cleaned out and replaced?

Answer
the best bet is to replace the egr if u can afford it but cleaning usually works for about 3 months then carbons up.. what u do is take it right off and get a can of intake cleaner and a toothbrush u will be able to push the valve right in and get it nice and clean .
