QUESTION: Hello, I have a bolens 824 and I can't get a low idle. Any suggestions? Thanks!

ANSWER: What engine is on the blower and what is the model number?

Do you have any throttle control at all?  Can you move the throttle to increase the engine speed and then move the throttle to slow and the engine speed decreases?

Can you move the carburetor throttle butterfly, by hand, to the idle position and will the engine idle?

QUESTION: Model 824 snowblower, the low idle screw, When turned Clockwise The RPM goes down slightly, But the engine can't  be kept running.
The engine won't idle, it's full on

Is the engine a Tecumseh engine?

Can you move the throttle butterfly shaft by hand?  I have seen the shaft stick due to wear or fuel deposits, aka, gummy shaft.

Did the problem happen suddenly while using the machine?

Has the blower sat for a while without being used?
