Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Weed Eater gas blower

Question
2 year old Weed Eater FB25 25cc gas blower hard to start at end of fall last year...got it out last week and went thru starting sequence I have always used and no signs of starting.  Have removed and cleaned original plug & replaced with new plug with no signs of starting.  Using gas/oil mixture I have always used and it works in other Weed Eater tools.  Any suggestions as to what to do to start this relatively new blower?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Ernest

Answer
How old is the fuel?  Last year?  If so, go purchase new gas and mix with oil.

FYI, today's high ethanol gasoline is pretty destructive on small engines, marine, motorcycles and any other engines that are not equipped to use the higher ethanol blend.  We rebuild lots of carburetors that cause hard starting or no start conditions that you are describing.

With the new fuel, I would use a small squirt bottle and try priming the engine with the new fuel/oil mix to see if it will start.

Let me know if the new fuel/oil mix starts the blower.
