Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): HondaGX340, mud motor, screw

Question
Eric, I have the problem with the governor. I want to use this engine on a long tail mud motor. How big a job js it to take the governor completely off the motor? Thanks Greg

Answer
To really take the governor off you have to split the engine in half to access the parts.  Racers do this all the time but it takes a while and you have to be sure no other parts, inside the engine, come loose when removing the governor.  Once removed you may have to plug the governor arm hole with a pin or a screw.
