Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): huskeee rider ohv175, battery terminals, battery cable

engine ohv175 204801b tecumseh: 611221 fuel shut off solenoid red wire terminal "melted" (engine starts but won't stay running)
what could have caused & will replacing with new 611221 solenoid fix

Could have just been a bad solenoid that caused the problem but I would check the charging system output voltage and have the battery load tested/checked at you local auto parts store.

I would also clean the battery terminals and battery cable ends when you dis-connect the battery to have it tested.
