Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): How to remove air filter from carb, briggs and stratton, carburetor

Question
Hi,

I have a Craftsman t1000 model 917.271840; with a Briggs and Stratton 21 HP flathead twin model 461707-1045-c3.

I want to remove the air filter case (that's bolted to the top of the carburetor) from the carburetor. There are three brass-looking connectors that attach the base of the air filter to the top of the carburetor but they have no lugs or screw heads. How are these removed?

Thanks

here is a picture of the carburetor assembly, the 3 screws, should be able to be removed unless they are riveted on then you have to replace them with new screw what you may have to do is drill them out by removing the Upper body of the Carburetor part # 495035
