Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 05 Troy Bilt deck/drive belt routing, doityourself com, gasoline power

Question
QUESTION: Hi, I bought an 05 Bronco that needed the deck driver belt. I see 3 normal pulleys and 1 flat sided pulley I can't figure out the routing of new belt. No owners manual an I can't access online manual on my phone.  Thanks in advance.

ANSWER: What is the model of the mower.  Troy Bilt is made by MTD so the mower model number will be located on a sticker about the size of a business card located under the rear seat or fenders.

As a rule of thumb it the pulley is V shaped the V face of the belt goes in the pulley.  The flat part of the belt, the back, will ride on the flat pulley, usually the idler pulley that tensions the belt.
