Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Engine Cleaner, 2 stroke engines, spark plug

While changing the spark plug on my Poulan Pro ppb200, I looked inside the hole I puled the plug from and noticed it was black. It looks pretty dirty. Should this be cleaned off, and what can I use?

That is a normal carbon build up on 2 stroke engines,what you can do is just change the spark plug not clean the plug as the spark plug will start to break down after usage so by cleaning it wont help that much. You will get better performance out of a new plug anyway.
