Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Engine replacement, yellow wires, charging system

Question
I have replaced a B&S model 350777-1137-E1 with a model 35777A-0113-E1. My only question is the wiring from the voltage regulator is different. The old motor had 2 yellow wires going to the stator and one red wire. The new motor has the same 2 yellow wires and also 3 other wires that go into a plug. One orange, one tan, and one red. How do I hook up these wires to my old harness, or is it even possible? What are the orange and tan wires used for? Can they be just left off?

Answer
Did you download the engine replacement guide from Briggs.  It tells you the color code of the wires and how to connect them.

Based on the colors of the old engine it had a 10 OR 16 Amp Regulated charging system.

Can you send me a picture of the other wires and the plug?

Is this engine on a generator?
