Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): gas flow on a Mcculloch 130 chainsaw, saw filter, tight space

Question
should gas flow freely out of the gas tank, through the in-tank filter?  I removed the tank and it is trickling out very little.  Is the in-tank filter replaceable?  If so how do you remove it.

Answer
The in-tank filter is replacable.  Gas will trickle through the filter but not very fast.  How old is the saw?

Filter on Ebay for $5.99.

Remove the old filter with needle nose plyers...just pull it out...usually in pieces.

I'd take pictures if you remove any additional parts from the saw...that model is one of the most difficult to work on as everything is really packed in a tight space.
