Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Tecumseh HM100 no spark, gilson snowblower, conversion module

Question
I have a Gilson snowblower with an HM100 159041C. Mice had nested under the flywheel. With no spark, I reset the points on the internal ignition and had a brief period of spark and almost had it running. Now there is no spark. I purchased an electronic ignition conversion module and still had no luck. Returning to the points ignition, I noticed a previously missed damaged wire to the condenser. With this repaired, still no spark. One of the magnets, while still strong is missing about 1/3 of it's surface, (looks chewed). Could this be the cause?
Thanks in advance.

You said the magnets look like it is missing some of it surface, wow pretty bad mouse.Make sure that the points are not grounded out, this will cause no spark. The wire from the condenser should go to the points, make sure they are not touching the frame/ground of the engine. The magnets may cause a problem depending how bad as they cause the field needed to induce spark.
