Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): HSSK50-67366S spitting blue flames, valve spring compressor, blue flames

Question
Hi there.  I have read enough of these posts to suspect that my exhaust valve clearance is probably not correct.  I have removed the head to expose the valves. I can see light when shining a flashlight up through the exhaust port. I cannot find any info on how to get to where I can file or grind off the valve stem a little bit.  Can you help with this?  Thanks.

Answer
Below is the link to the Service Manual:

You need to remove the valve cover plate and then use a tool, or a couple of screwdrivers, to remove the valve retainer.  You can remove the valve and use a hand file to file off a little of the valve stem.  It does not take much to file off just a little material.  Make the valve stem is filed square/flat.

A valve spring compressor will make the job much easier. A torque wrench should be used to torque the headbolts.

Let me know if the link helps.
