Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): MTD Snowblower engine rebuild kit, engine rebuild kit, 20 bucks

Hey,

I picked up a 2008 MTD single stage snowblower today for 20 bucks. The engine is seized up. Model number 31a-2m1a762. Looking on MTD's parts website I do not see a engine rebuild kit. What is my best option here. I am looking to completely rebuild this engine if it is cost effective. Do they sell a kit or do I have to order each piece seperate? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Have you got the engine apart yet?  Might be cheaper to replace with a new engine.  Take the engine apart and look at the crank and cylinder.

You can piece it together, shortblock it or replace the entire engine.

Let me know how the cylinder and crank looks.
