Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Lawn Mower, fuel nozzle, filter screen

Question
I rated you and then could not let you know what happened with the lawn mower.  It just would not crank and I got tired of working on it.  I had another engine that looked identical on an old power washer a friend found and gave to me.

I put it on the lawn mower using the gas tank and carburetor from the lawn mower and a new spark plug.  It is now working.

Thanks for your promptness and patience.

Joe

Answer
Yeah, I have had some of those pulsa-prime carbs I could not fix.  Most of the time the problem is in the main emulsion tube, fancy word Briggs factory school uses for fuel pick up or main fuel nozzle.  Anyhow, if you remove the filter screen and clean the check ball and the carb still won't work it is easier, and usually cheaper, just to replace the carburetor.

Glad to hear you got it running.
