Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): RD L118 20 HP Inteck, stutters, fuel filter

Has been great runner. Engine starts with choke, but after 2-3 minutes stutters and stalls, and will not start for a few minutes. Have replaced fuel,fuel filter, oil & filter. When watching governor linkage it is causing engine to stall. Help.

The only thing you didn't check was the carburetor.You need to clean the carburetor and install a rebuild kit.Make sure the small holes in the main jet in the bottom of the carb are all clear? I would let all of the metal parts soak for 1 hour and then blow them out and put it back together and try it.When you get it apart and cleaned make sure you remove the main jet so no dirt gets inside it to block it.
