Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): A real stumper, john deere lt133, riding lawn mower

Question
my john deere lt133 riding lawn mower was constantly shutting down when it got hot and now it won't start at all. I pulled the plug and tested spark and there was none. took my spark tester and multi meter and tested coil and has proper voltage all the way to the cap. tried a brand new plug and still same problem no spark when connected to plug but everything test's good I'm lost can you point me the the right direction thank's.

Answer
What engine is on the mower?  Ignition modules are pretty reliable these days.  Most of the time the problem is a bad safety switch or loose wire.

Have you removed the top engine cover to expose the ignition module?  If so dis-connect any small wires connected to the ignition module and check for spark.  If you have spark with the small wire(s) dis-connected then you know the ignition module is good and there is a problem with the shut-down safety system.
