I changed out both fuel lines on a 4 year old Craftsman Weedwacker.  The old line that held the filter on the end deteriorated.

Now I can not get the weedwacker prime.  When I push the primer, air goes out.  You can see the bubbles in the gas.  However, I am not sure if any gas is going in.  If there is gas returning to the engine, it is very little.  The filter on the end was also changed.

Any ideas on where to check?

What brand of carburetor is on the weedwacker?  All the carburetor manufacture's have there repair manuals online at their websites.

If the lines were bad, odds are the carb diaphrams and gaskets are bad as well since they are made of a similar material.

Let me know what carb you have.
