Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Cylinder fills up with gas, solinoid, head model

Question
My son has a 17 hp, valves in head, model 32C707 0154 E1 B&S on a Troy Built riding mower. The cylinder fills with gasoline and stops .  Take out plug and turn over engine  to expell gas thru spark hole ( chuck full every time ), replace plug , and it runs for a couple of minutes and then shows white exaust and dies.  Crankcase has gasoline in oil and shows well above full on stick.  We have checked the carb, float, needle and  electric solinoid in bottom.  Any ideas to go from here???

Answer
Did you replace the inlet needle and/or inlet needle seat?  This is the only place gas can enter the crankcase.

Did you drain the oil and refill with new oil?  If the oil has gas in it then it will get into the cylinder as it will flow past the rings.

Change the oil and replace the inlet needle.

Let me know what happens.
