Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): JD 176 problem, john deere lx176, kawasaki engine

Question
I have a John Deere LX176 with a 14hp Kohler engine, Model# FC420V, it will start and run then gas starts pouring out a little hose in the side of the carb. It will run with it on full choke or spit and sputter at full throttle with gas pouring out. If you need any more info just ask. Any ideas on my problem?

When the carburetor  leaks most causes are the Float, this has a small needle valve
in the carburetor it works with the Float and the float pin.  Also the engine you have is a not a Kohler it is a Kawasaki engine. I would take the carburetor off and rebuild it,and clean out the small ports that won't allow the fuel to run smother.

If the float is stuck there may be some crud in the fuel tank, this is from all the bad expensive fuel we buy. Pretty soon it will $4.00,The good old Uncle Sam with his hands in your pockets.

We have a web store with allot of good prices and if you need more help like parts look up. Or parts.
