Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Engine parts, piston rings, crankshaft

Question
I have a john deere RX63 rear engine mower. It has a kawasaki FA210V-AS00 engine I need a complete set of gaskets piston rings and carb rebuild kit and it is apparently unavailable from john deere. I understand kawasaki built these to john deere specs but was wondering if these parts would cross over from a kawaski FA210V-AS02. Thank you.

Answer
Many parts will cross over with not problem.  The main differeces I have expereinced with JD spec'd products is typically the crankshaft output.  It is cheaper for both Kawasaki and JD just to have to machine one part, the crankshaft, rather than have to produce/machine different pistons, rods, rings and carburetors.

My bet is the parts are the same on both engines.
