There is 1 screw is for the throttle adjustment set that one so it just moves before it stalls that will be a permanent setting so when you throttle down it will sit there and run slow. Then there is  2 more one is the  "L" 7 the other is "H" set them this way turn each one till it bottoms out but don't force it as the needle will get damaged. Once it is bottomed out turn each one 1-1/2 turns that is a normal way to get them started once running you do the low idle first while it is idling turn it just before it stalls and go back 1/4 turn. Do the same with the h speed while the unit is idling and then squeeze the trigger to see how it accelerates. You can adjust it until you get the high speed to smooth out.
