Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Snowblower Wardmachine traction problem, engine shaft, aluminum wheels

Question
Hello,

I have a yard machine 1350 snow series Snowblower, model number: 31as6zcg500, serial 1g118l10118. Sometimes the drive wheels don't have power. If I lift the rear wheels off the ground they spin, but when I set the machine down (add resistance) the machine will not move. I check the rubber wheels and it look ok. I adjust the tension on the cable so the spring extend and the rubber wheels do a good contact with the aluminum wheels. it look ok to. Got this snowblower for 3 years now. problem start last years but was on/off. today its all off . Strap is there and look ok but i cannot said if its to old. Is there other thing i can check .

Check the linkage to see if anything is broken or jammed.Something may just need lubrication.
The "transmission and clutch" consists of a rubber tired "friction disk"
which rides on a metal "drive disk" mounted on the engine shaft, the
"tire" on the friction disk may be worn down to the point where it's
slipping under load.

With the engine off!

Take a look at the position when "in gear" and the "clutch" is engaged.
It should be pressed firmly against the metal disk by a spring, and none
of the linkage supporting it should be hard up against anything, the
rubber should be what's limiting further movement. If it isn't, you may
need to buy a new friction disk to replace the worn one.
