Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): ECHO BLOWER PB200, spark plug gap, fuel line filter

Question
I HAD A ROUGH RUNNING BLOWER SO I TOOK THE CARB OFF AND CLEANED IT AND INSTALLED NEW GASKETS,DIAPHRAM, FUEL LINE, FILTER, AND A NEW PLUG. I CAN'T GET IT TO START AND AM CONFUSED HOW TO CHECK THE SPARK SIDE TO SEE THAT IT IS GETTING A SPARK. CAN YOU HELP ME GO FROM HERE? THANKS !!!

Answer
An inline spark tester is my preferred tool for checking spark.  If you do not have one then you can remove the spark plug, reconnect it to the spark plug wire and then touch the metal end of the spark plug to a metal engine part.  Pull the string and see if you have spark across the spark plug gap.

As for the carb, did you install the gaskets/diaphrams in the correct order?  You can download the carburetor repair manual online.

Which carb do you have, Walbro or Zama?
