Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): snow blower engine doest shut off, safety key, key switch

Question
i have a craftsman 8 horsepower, electric start, dual stage snowblower(model 536.881800) with a b&s engine (model 12E114-0268-E1). it won't turn off when i try to turn off via the stop switch or safety key. any suggestions? thank you

Answer
>>Hello Ron:

>>Sorry for the Delay. I had to Purchase a New PC and then Switch my Files and Records from the Old One.
>>From your Description it Sounds like the Stop Wire has become Detached from the Ign Coil or this Wire is Broken and Requires Repairing/Replacing.
>>Remove the Engines Blower Housing (metal engine cover) and than make Sure the Wire to the Engines Ign Coil is Connected to the Connection Spade.
>>If the Shut Off Wire is Connected to the Ign Coil, then Check the Wire for Breaks and Replace if Necessary.
>>The Ign Coil is Grounded on 1 Side for the Coil to Fire and the Other Side of the Ign Coil is Grounded (goes to Stop Switch or Key Switch) to Stop the Plug from Firing.
>>If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I Hope to be Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
