Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Tuff Torq K56 Transmission, service parts catalog, oil 10

Question
I have a Simplicity Regent lawn mower with a K56 transmission (not sure if it is K56A or K56B).  Runs fine for the first hour or so and then will not climb hills at all.  Will run fine on level ground or down hill. Is not low on fluid, nor does it leak, have changed it every two years with synthetic oil (10-30W). There is plenty of power from engine, just not climbing when it gets warm or hot. Need assistance please.  Any idea about internal problems or which items to replace on transmission?  Also trying to find service manual for this transmission to aid with disassembly and reassembly.  Any assistance with this problem will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks   Bruce

Answer
Hello Bruce:

>>Are you Sure the Transaxle Drive Belt is Not Slipping?
>>Change the Hydraulic Oil and Use 15W40 Synthetic Oil and Operate the Unit.
>>Does the Unit Operate Correctly, even when Hot?
>>Can you Tell if the Heavier Oil made a Difference in the Operation of the Transaxle? If No, then
>>The Internal Pump May Require Rebuilding.
>>If you Rebuile the Pump, then be Sure to Inspect ALL the Pumps Components to be Sure there is No Wear Damage to ANY Reused Parts.
>>You can View a Breakdown of this Unit at this Site Addy; https://www.tufftorqservices.com/EnvEElogin/html/login.html and Select Tuff Torq Service Parts Catalog in the Lower Middle of the Page. Select Catalog Shop from the Top of the Page (you do Not have to Log In). Now Select your Transaxle from the List Provided and then Select your Exact Transaxle from the Next List Provided. Usually you Must Disassemble the Transaxle and Purchase the Required Components Individually. You will have to Order the Parts from an Authorized Service Distributor. You will See the Distributor List on the Welcome Page.
>>If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I Hope to be Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
