Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): stale gas, stale gas, vacum pump

Question
How do you get stale gas out of MTD snowthrower? It will not start.

Answer
In the shop we use a vacum pump to remove the fuel from the tank.  In your case you may need to remove the tank to dump it out.  You will also need to get it out of the carb as well.  Remove the bow nut on the bottom of the carb and the fuel should run out.
